  38. sort of equipment do I need?  I'm working with a VHF/UHF transceiver now, and

  77. It will DISPLAY up to 520, but you will note that after about 487 the decimal
  78. point disappears, meaning that the PLL will not lock and you will not
  79. actually receive anything.  It will also display down to 810 but will not
  80. lock below about 860.  The 487 and 860 numbers depend on the individual
  81. radio, but that is what mine does.  Bye...

  112.   I'm considering building up a satellite station, and the first thing
  113. I need to get figured out is how to run a high quality feed system.
  114. My operating station is about 80 feet from the proposed rotator position
  115. (as the coax runs.)  This means I need to pay particular attention to 
  116. low loss in this system.

  118.   I have discovered I know little about these expensive feed lines, and am
  119. looking for information on what kind of losses are involved by cable
  120. type, where I can get detailed information, and finally where I can
  121. get the actual cable and connectors.  I would prefer to run a 50 ohm
  122. system throughout, since that is what is expected at the transmitter
  123. and presumed antenna systems.  I do know that cable companies sometimes
  124. have leftover pieces, but it is usually 75 ohm cable.  Any pointers
  125. would be appreciated.
